The purpose of this specialty course is to introduce divers to the most common families and species of fish found in temperate and tropical waters throughout the world. The course is designed to emphasize the importance of Project AWARE and involve people personally in the conservation of marine ecosystems
COURSE COST - $200.00 per person

REQUIRED AGE/CERTIFICATION LEVEL - Minimum age 10 years old with PADI Open Water certification/Junior Open Water certification or proof of equivalent certification by another training agency.
COURSE OVERVIEW - Plan and organize a dive involving fish identification
- Participate in dives that include fish surveys and counts
- During two dives students gain hands on experience in looking for and identifying the fascinating fish seen underwater.
- Certification counts toward the PADI Master Scuba Diver Rating.
STUDENTS TO SUPPLY: - Mask, fins, snorkel, dive knife, slate with pencil and whistle and a log book.
- BCD, regulator, secondary air source, pressure gauge, compass and tanks can be rented from Lauderdale Diver.
- Reef student kit (includes underwater fish identification guide, data collection slate, survey data scan sheets, reef membership materials)
