The PADI Master Scuba Diver qualification is the highest level of recreational dive qualification offered by PADI. The achievement of this level of certification demonstrates superior diving ability and a commitment to diving proficiency!
PADI MASTER SCUBA DIVER (MSD) REGISTRATION FEE: $46.00 payable directly to PADI with the MSD registration form.
REQUIRED AGE/CERTIFICATION LEVEL
- Minimum age is 12 years old.
- Must have Rescue Diver or proof of equivalent certification by another training agency.
- Must have 5 PADI Specialty Ratings
- Must have proof of 50 logged dives
- Divers under the age of 15 may obtain PADI Junior Master Scuba Diver certification. The certification card carries the requirement that the individual must dive with a certified adult.
DIVEMASTER
The Divemaster qualification is THE FIRST LEVEL OF PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION FROM PADI. This qualification marks a turning point in your diving career. To achieve this qualification requires a commitment to succeed and diving ability equal to that of a qualified instructor.
COURSE PRICE
- Pricing is dependent upon the number of students and the agreed upon course structure.
REQUIRED AGE/CERTIFICATION LEVEL
- Minimum age is 18 years old
- Students must hold Rescue Diver or proof of equivalent certification by another training agency.
- Current E.F.R. or equivalent certification.
- Medical declaration of fitness to dive from physician.
- Proof of 60 logged dives by the end of the course.
COURSE OVERVIEW
- The independent study is supported by the Instructor assessing knowledge reviews, class work and subject exams. You must score 75% or higher on all the exams.
- Stamina swimming/snorkeling tests.
- Training development to ensure dive skills are to demonstration standard.
- Completion of an underwater mapping project and an equipment exchange while buddy breathing from a single regulator.
- Course Duration: This can vary from 2-3 weekends to several months, dependent on the type course and the agreed schedule.
- A PADI Divemaster may conduct:
o Discover Scuba Diving in a pool or confined water environment o Discover Snorkeling and Skin Diver Source o Scuba Review/Discover Local Diving

- Snorkel, mask, fins, scuba cylinder, BCD with low-pressure inflator, regulator, secondary air source, submersible pressure gauge, dive knife, compass and pocket mask.
