This course meets or exceeds the standards of the American Red Cross Standard First Aid and Emergency Care or Multimedia Standard First Aid courses and satisfies the first aid training requirements 46 CFR 10.205(h)(2)(iv) for a merchant marine license.  On completion you are certified as an Emergency First Responder and have the necessary skills to extend the window of opportunity during which a person with life threatening injuries/illness can be saved.

• This course is open to any age and no previous experience or qualification is required.

• The program is conducted via independent study and in a classroom environment.  Knowledge reviews are reviewed by the instructor during the class.
• Automatic Electronic Defibrillator (AED) training is also provided as part of this course.
• This is followed by classroom lectures/scenarios and a final exam.
• Course Duration:  One day or 1-2 evenings, dependent on the number of students.
