Jose was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico where he learned to scuba dive back in 1992. He graduated from college with a major in Criminal Justice and served his country in the armed forces. His love for scuba diving drove him to quit his administrative job and become a Scuba Instructor. His preferred dives are Wreck and Deep Diving with turtles and sharks being his favorite underwater creatures.

Jose loves teaching people how to scuba and sharing his experiences with them.  He believes that every dive is meant to be remembered so as an underwater videographer, he is currently working on his own video production. Jose is beginning his Tec Diver training, which will enable him to probe the depths of the ocean with his camera, and share this experience with you.

Jose is fluent in both English and Spanish and is extremely knowledgeable about the many different brands of equipment including BCD’s, regulators, computers and cameras that we sell at Lauderdale Diver.
